National Anti-Fur March and Rally Saturday 13th November
Meet 12 noon, Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8PQ (Tube: Victoria or Hyde Park Corner)

The annual National Anti-Fur March will take place on Saturday 13th November in London, marking the beginning of this year's Anti-Fur Week (see below). The march will be through the fashionable areas of Knightsbridge, South Kensingon and Chelsea, and will give us a chance to name and shame some of the most famous names in fashion who are still involved in the bloody fur industry.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible. Meet at 12 noon, Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8PQ. Nearest Tube is Victoria or Hyde Park Corner.

There are leaflets for the march which you can order from us, or you can download from the CAFT website. Please help us to advertise the march by getting the leaflets displayed in libraries, health food shops, general shops, community centres, colleges and schools etc, or by distributing them to friends, and other activists, on stalls, or other events.

To download a pdf of the leaflet go to http://www.caft.org.uk/furmarch/furmarch2010.htm

To order email us london@caft.org.uk and let us know how many you want, don't forget to give us an address to send them to.

If you are planning to travel to the demo and have transport to take others, please let us know and we'll put you in touch.

Anti-Fur Week - November 13th - 20th

This year's anti-fur week of action will take place between Nov 13th and 20th, including the National Anti-Fur March on the 13th. During this week there will be fur demos and actions, info stalls and other events throughout the country, please contact us if you would like to take part or if you would like to organise your own event or help out with your local group during the week of action. We have leaflets, posters and other materials you can order from us or download from the website.

Among the things you can do are:

  • Hold a protest at a shop near you which sells fur, though sometimes they can be persuaded to remove fur items beforehand. There maybe coordinated protests against a fashion chain with a branch in your town, contact us or keep watching the site for details.
  • Hold an information stall in your town, contact us for ideas and info material.
  • Write a letter to local and national press, highlighting the cruelty of the fur trade. See our fact sheets on the website side panel for ideas.

Please keep an eye on the website for developments and start preparing now the week of action. Please let us know if you are planning an event.
