In what
at first appears to be a massive blow, Japanese whalers today rammed the
Sea Shepherd’s Adi Gil slicing off the front of the hull and sinking
the high tech $1.5million vessel. They failed to kill the crew of six who
were all safely rescued but they did succeed in drawing attention to their
grotesque behaviour and still have two other anti- waling ships to contend
with, both of which are currently engaging the whalers near Antarctica.
SS Captain Paul Watson told the media "If they think that our remaining
two ships will retreat from the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary in the face
of their extremism, they will be mistaken."
"We now have a real whale war on our hands now and we have no intention
of retreating."
