Mel Broughton on Trial Once Again


Jury Sworn in for Animal Rights Campaigned Arson Trial

A jury has been sworn-in over a 49-year-old animal rights campaigner accused of plotting an arson attack against Oxford University.

The trial of Mel Broughton, of Semilong Road, Northampton, is due begin at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow. He is accused of conspiracy to commit arson and possession of an article with intent to destroy property.
