Hi all,
I'm delighted to report another success in our fight against the fur trade!
Last night, Fingal County Council passed our motion to 'Ban the Import and Sale of real fur' in their jurisdiction. The motion was proposed by Cllr. David McGuinness, and it passed unanimously gaining cross-party support. Apparently many councillors also spoke highly of our efforts, and showed a lot of support for the issue. They then wrote a letter to government, on our behalf, asking for a review of the current legislation.
There are a few more councils that will be proposing the fur ban motion soon - I'll keep you all posted!
For a fur-free Ireland,
