The media is a twisted medium, it serves the interest of commerce and control. It lies. It teaches us to accept the cruel exploitation of other animal species. It drip feeds the message that those who offer their all to help the animal kingdom are bad. Here you will meet, to quote some recent 'reporting' of the efforts of the Animal Liberation Front and others of a like mind, 'the evil mob who terrorise hard working families' by 'waging war', the 'vile extremist thugs' whose 'ruthless obsessions' have caused 'life saving scientists' to 'live in fear of attack', the 'nutters who hate people and love animals', the 'angry, emaciated vegans', the 'misguided louts' who want to 'end medical progress', the 'notorious fanatics engaged in a campaign of terror', 'the fanatical zealots whose chilling attacks pose a serious threat..'. and so on and so forth...

Its endless and like with so much of what we are told all is not what it seems! That these people have put their everything on the line to save the life of an animal is telling enough of their character. They are an exemplary sample of the human species and they would love to hear from like minds during their captivity.

A few words on a postcard or on the back of a photo or a lengthy ramble! Contact with a conscious world is an essential in the life of a prison inmate, particularlry this kind. You can send money in cheque/PO form and stamps in stamp form but not food in any form. You can send your pants and if your target is lucky/unlucky enough to get them is purely dependant on the uniformed human being in the middle of this transaction and the rules he obeys, so best to check with the prisoner first. Heather Nicholson (VM4859) HMP Foston Hall, Foston, Derby, Derbyshire DE65 5DN Remanded 1 May 2007 on blackmail charges in connection with the ongoing HLS campaign. Pleaded not guilty

Bob Lewis (A7302AG) D Wing, HMP Bullingdon, PO Box 50, Oxford OX25 1WD. Serving 18 months for actions against HLS. Bob is in his 50's and considered vulnerable and is thought to have been bullied by police to give information about other so does not appear on other AR POW listings. We however encourage you to make your own mind up.

Imprisoned for two years in June 2008 for rescuing a beagle dog from cruelty. Remanded 16/03/09 in connection with the HLS campaign for which she awaits sentence.

Pleaded guilty on July 30 2008 to Blackmail charge re the campaign against HLS. Sentenced to 4 years.

Remanded 1 May 2007 in connection with blackmail charges against Huntingdon Life Sciences. Pleaded guilty 30.07.08 sentenced to 9 years.

Remanded September 2005, serving 12 years for conspiracy in connection with the successful Newchurch Guinea Pig Farm Campaign. The farm no longer exists.

19 January 2010 British animal rights activist, Lewis Pogson, was sentenced to three years imprisonment for his involvement in a raid on Highgate Farm which saw the rescue of 129 rabbits. The rabbits remain free.
